Greenlass (2008) is an easy two-minute solo work for alto saxophone (optionally oboe). The piece was written as a 10-year birthday present for the daughter of the composer’s friend. The minimalist two-note motif of the piece is an adaptation of the switch-on signal of MacBook Pro.
