Glass Orifice

Description

Glass Orifice (for two clarinets) was written for Mikko Raasakka and Gregory Barrett in 2010. Glass Orifice marked a clear stylistic change in Virtaperko’s output with its non-melodic, pointillistic and harmonically static approach. Consisting of five short movements, Glass Orifice explores the multiphonic possibilities of clarinets, as well as other non-standard instrumental techniques.
